Barbara Lapp
As a retired Early Childhood Educator, I served 27 years as the teacher/director of the Redding Cooperative Preschool and a part time instructor at Shasta College. I have always believed that young children should have our strongest commitment. What happens to these children is important to all of us as a community. I have continued my interest in what happens to young children and their families by being on the Local Child Care Planning Council, continuing my membership in the Association for the Education of Young Children and serving as co-president of the League of Women Voters. Serving on the Commission gives me the opportunity to help the children in this county. As a parent of five, grandparent of eight and great grandparent of two, I would like to be a part of a community that is aware of the importance of the youngest members of the community and is willing to help their families.
