PAPERDOLL DIRECTORY 2012

Thanks to all the young paperdolls artists who made and donated a paperdoll for Week of the Young Child 2012.

Thanks to all the businesses and organizations who have adopted paperdolls and have them on display from April 1-30, 2012.

The Paperdoll Signature

The Paperdoll Project links generations and all geographic areas of Shasta County in a signature activity for the Week of the Young Child. Paperdolls handcrafted by young children in preschools, child care centers, family child care homes, playgroups, and even private homes are donated for adoption and display by local businesses. Each paperdoll is unique, decorated in an individual child's self-image.

Displays of paperdolls linked hand-in-hand appear in store fronts and lobbies, alerting the entire community to the WOYC celebration and the importance and value of young children. Local businesses hosting a display of paperdolls indicate their support for children, families, and a thriving Shasta County.

Make Paperdolls for Display

Paperdoll artists are needed! Preschools, child care centers, family child care, neighborhoods, children's groups, churches, and families are invited to contribute groups of paperdolls decorated by young children. You may request a display site or we can match your dolls to a site close to you. Families are encouraged to visit their child's paperdoll during the month of April!
